Charity Researcher/Administrator

Friends of the Cotswolds is a small charity whose role is fund-raising to support projects within the Cotswolds area designed to preserve its distinctive character.

The Trustees wish to appoint an enthusiastic part-time researcher/administrator to provide support for fund-raising and general secretarial activities.

The new role of the Researcher/Administrator will be: • researching potential donors and maintaining a database; • writing letters to potential donors in conjunction with one or more of the trustees, and following up;

• handling contact with project sponsors, enquiries about the Friends, and other initiatives;

• arranging printing of brochures and appeal material;

• attending evening meetings of the trustees six times per year. Applicants must be competent users of standard IT facilities (including word-processing, spreadsheets and email) and the internet.

They should also have a knowledge of, and interest in, the area covered by the Cotswolds AONB It would an advantage for candidates to have knowledge of public sector bodies in the Cotswolds and their responsibilities, and/or experience of charitable fund-raising. All work would be done from home using your own IT facilities. Timing is flexible, and is expected to average to about 1 day per week. The position will be on a self-employed basis.
