Cotswolds LEADER Bid - Public Open Meetings

LEADER is a European Fund, which supports businesses and communities in making their areas living, working places. It provides grants (usually of around 50% but can offer more) to local projects.
The allocation of LEADER funding for an area is a competitive process.

The Cotswolds has been given a green light by Government to work up a LEADER bid. It could bring almost £2 million of project funding to the area over the next 5 years.

To win this money the Cotswolds has to get as many people as possible interested in supporting a bid.

The Cotswolds Conservation Board has been working with an organisation which is nationally experienced in LEADER funding – Rose Regeneration – to prepare our proposal.

We have planned two public meetings on 17 July as part of the LEADER consultation process and it is ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL that we get as many parish and other community representatives as possible along to those meetings. They are scheduled as follows:

11 am Tetbury Town Council The Old Courthouse 63 Long Street Tetbury GL8 8AA

7pm Lower Hall , Chipping Norton Town Hall, Market Place,  Chipping Norton, OX7 5NA

If you are able to attend please email: Ivan will also be happy to respond to any queries you have about the event or LEADER more generally

We have also designed a very short e-survey to capture the views of those who cannot attend a meeting in person and it would be very helpful if you could distribute this to your colleagues and contacts it is:
