Thrilling stories from British heritage and around the world come to Cotswolds Discovery Centre at the Old Prison, Northleach starting Thursday 12 November.

Escape into Story is a new series of after school storytelling sessions with local entertainer Chloë of the Midnight Storytellers. The sessions start at 3:45pm, tickets are £3 per child to include squash and a biscuit. Tea, coffee and delicious homemade cakes are available in the café for accompanying adults.

With her singing bowl, silver drum and colourful outfits, Chloë’s tales of adventure and magic have enchanted children all over the UK for more than 15 years. From Cotswold tales of highwaymen to brilliant British legends of stone circles and King Arthur, giggles and gasps are guaranteed at the end of the school day.

Recommended for age 7 to 11. The series continues with 40 minute storytelling sessions on Thursdays 10 December, 14 January 2016 and 11 February, all at 3.45pm.

“Storytelling is an ancient art form - yet it’s new and fresh every time you retell a tale! Escape into Story is going to be great fun - and will help local children connect with their cultural heritage.” said Chloë, who lives near Northleach.

“We are really excited to welcome the Midnight Storytellers to the Cotswolds Discovery Centre and hope local families come along to enjoy the magical adventure” said Rachel Cawte, Events Officer.

All children must be accompanied by an adult. Places are limited so booking is essential, contact Rachel on 01451 862035 or
